You might remember me from this morning. You came to drop a skip off to me in Henley, however, there had been some confusion over the payment. Whilst I understand that I was an "inconvenience" to you. I'd like you to understand that it is also an inconvenience to us. We've recently been told that our landlord is selling our home. We have 6 weeks to be out of here and nowhere to go. Can you imagine how scared and stressed out we must be feeling? We have 3 children and the prospect of being homeless looming over our heads. This isnt just us having a clear out, we're having to clear out our whole lives from the only place we've ever called home. I'm sorry that I didn't just have £290 to hand. You must live a very comfortable life compared to us if you freely have that kind of money available. Some days we have to decide whether we put the heating on or use the electricity. We can't afford to use both at the same time. Imagine that! I did try to explain that my grandparents were paying you in cash (which we thought you'd prefer), but I'm not sure you heard me as you interrupted me. I understand that you phoned my husband and were just as stroppy (I feel this best describes your attitude) towards him as you were to me. I also understand that he offered to pay you, but was unable to do so straight away. I believe he told you he could pay in half an hour, to which you replied "I'm not waiting around for half an hour" My husband is still sure that you arranged payment on collection. We were under the impression that the hire was £290, but that could change depending on what we put in. Again, I tried to tell this to you, but you interrupted me. This is just a simple case of confusion (and maybe poor communication on your part) and really didn't need to be made into such a big deal. In all honesty, you needn't have "wasted your diesel" at all. It could have been sorted. You seemed like such a nice and helpful man on the phone. I was totally shocked at your demeanour upon our meeting. Even my dog (who usually just wants to shower people with love) found youoffensive. The growling and showing of teeth, really isnt like him. Hed usually be out there begging fofuss. However, as I'm sure you noticed, i had to hold him back. This is such unusual behaviour for him.
