Ian installed my new Lifepo4 (Lithium) battery system on my boat. The work included removing the old lead acid battery system, fitting new alternators (old ones had failed) and new charging systems both mains and 12v as well as solar panels and charge controllers and management systems. Ian also rewired aspects of my system to improve it and overcome issues, including a bespoke mains breaker supply panel. Ian's comprehensive knowledge of this complex area of new technology, his methodical approach and attention to detail, as well as his relationships with suppliers was impressive. I would highly recommend Ian for all aspects of marine electrical and electronic work - he is at the forefront of the latest technology and systems, and has a wide experience of this and he is professional, diligent and reliable. First met Ian from Cunningham Marine in 2021, needing solar, electrical upgrade and rewire due to substantial fire damage. Ian was super helpful from day one to the completion of the above and works beyond those, having accomplished everything without wiring diagrams with labelling in French. He has supplied and fitted a comprehensive Victron system and it was of paramount importance that there was no Wi-Fi or Bluetooth active upon instillation fortunately Ian managed to come up with a way to do this beyond the knowledge of Victron themselves. WE Were on the way from the Netherlands with our newly purchased yacht; and we ran out of power:(. We called Ian ahead of our arrival which was late in the evening. Despite that Ian had to leave Cowes at the 04.00 ferry in the morning he still got out to our boat to see if he could identify the issue and let us continue on the way. A loose Battery connector was one of the issue and this messed up one battery, Ian GAVE us a battery to get us on the way and this got us home to ireland. A service you do not find in many places anymore and it is a testament to Ian's commitment to service. THANK YOU IAN. I recommend Ian to any boater in the Solent area .
