Just had to post and tell everyone what amazing folks the staff are at Cuan wildlife rescue, a wonderful lady came out this afternoon and rescued a bird that had fallen from my fence and then was unable to fly and was hiding behind my shed. The poor thing must have been so tired and hot and frightened. This fablous lady managed to get behind the shed and catch the bird in a very large net with a minimum of distress. It has now been taken back to the rescue centre and hopefully will be on the mend. Many thanks again to all involved and especially as these folks are volunteers. Your all super stars 🌟 lady came out this afternoon

DO NOT TAKE ANYTHING HERE IF YOU WANT IT TO LIVE!! Rescued a seagull that was originally taken to the vets for the once over. The vet confirmed the seagull is absolutely fine it just needed a couple of days rest to recuperate. As they didn’t have the space for it we called round and this wildlife centre agreed to come and get it from the vets. We paid a large donation to them for this. After calling several times getting nowhere, had no knowledge of any seagull, they then inform us that they have killed the seagull due to ‘spinal issues’. We have a vets report of a clear bill of health… I find this utterly disgusting. You take animals to rescue centres for peace of mind that they are getting looked after and treated right. Not for them to be killed and when you call they have absolutely no knowledge of the bird. You then chase them for weeks call after call after call to them be told oh they killed that one. Absolutely disgusting. Will not be using them again and definitely will not be recommending them to anyone.

I find this place very helpful with information about wildlife I have in my garden. I took a hedgehog there today that I thought may have been unwell. (phone first to explain why I thought it unwell). I took one there a few years ago and they made it well and I brought it back to my garden. At moment there are 5 hedgehogs staying in garden that I know of. I keep wondering about getting cameras but never seem to get around to it.

Great staff. Good knowledge of problem. We took a white duck with a smashed leg. Unfortunately the vet felt his leg was too bad. They could not fix his leg. So Unfortunately they had to put him to sleep.

If you happen to find a wild animal around the area that is injured, I'd highly recommend that you phone the Cuan Wildlife Rescue to ensure its protected well before it's then released

Always ready to support or help wildlife which has a silent voice in our society today. Well worth supporting through a regular donation if you can. They have helped us over the phone with care advice and loking/looked after some of the many hedgehogs that frequent our garden. Thanks cuan!
