We were recommended to CTS by a friend who had travelled with them. Riccardo was our contact in CTS and put our trip together. He listened to our requirements and we ended up with a great trip that started in Chengdu and ended in Beijing. We asked for a couple of hotel changes which we got. Riccardo was really helpful with applying for our visas and anything he felt we needed to know about mainland China. He kept in constant contact with us until we travelled. We were met by our guide and driver in Chengdu. John, our guide, stayed with us and guided us in Chengdu over the next two days. We found it very reassuring that we had the same guide and driver on every leg if our journey. John stayed with us at the station until we boarded the train for Xi'an for which we were very grateful as the station is vast and rather confusing the first time you use it. Please note there are no porters and luggage is checked through security very similar to an airport on entry so if you have large luggage it can be quite difficult. The trains, like Japan are amazing, very efficient and very comfortable. Our next leg was Xi'an and our guide Winnie who was waiting at the station to meet us. Again she was excellent, friendly accommodating and knowledgeable. The driver was also excellent. The roads are exceptionally busy in China!! She was with us until our final leg to Beijing where William and his driver met us for the final three days of our trip and our departure from Beijing airport. Everything worked like clockwork, we saw everything on our itinerary with very knowledgable guides, expert drivers and comfortable cars. I have no hesitation in recommending CTS.

CTS planned a long tour through China in Autumn 2019 for a party of 4. They took our wants and needs and turned into a fantastic, enjoyable and enlightening break. There were a few points that could have been improved, but these were all local and relatively trivial. The overall organization and attention to detail that Riccardo and the team at CTS brought to the expedition was excellent as was the standard of customer service and we're very glad that we asked them to handle the trip for us.

We visited Shanghai, Jingdezhen, Xian, Huangshan last month and came back enchanted. Our private tour was organised by CTS and Riccardo. Everything during the trip went as planned : car, bullet train, domestic flights, fantastic hotels, professional and helpful guides. We recommend CTS and would have no hesitation in using them again.
