I have used CSG on one occasion and was happy with their service. I booked them again. On the day before I rang to find out when they would be coming. I spoke to Ronnie at the local depot who told me they weren’t able to come out as one of their trucks had broken down and a driver had broken his arm. My problem was that, due to having to wait 8 days for a spot to clean my cesspit, it was close to overflowing. If it over flowed I was up for a £200 fine PER DAY. Now Ronnie is a simple worker that, had he chosen to be a jobs worth, could have just put the phone down and left me hanging. He didn’t. He bothered to phone another depot and get a solution. Ronnie rocks. The next day another truck turned up. The driver pointed out the 10T restriction on the bridge to my place. I pointed out that other CSG Trucks had been over it. The driver was very apologetic after talking to HQ and said he couldn’t do it. I needed a 1k truck (since this debacle I’ve found out that’s a 1000 gallon truck). The reason for my one star was due to the chap that range me after this. His rudeness, officious beadleness and lack of common decency was staggering. He said he was Head of Health and safety and virtually accused me of stealing company time as there was NO way they could have ever done this job. I pointed out they had done the job before. His response was to tell me this information had virtually cost the previous driver his job as he would be ‘vigorously investigating the driver’s actions’. Great! Since this discourse I have spoken to a number of waste companies - all chuckled when I said I’d been let down by CSG. It appears to be a common issue. If you do use them make sure you Are prepared to be let down. And whatever you do don’t expect any help from the management team. You may however get Ronnie. He rocks so you should be ok.
