Jo was our teacher today and it was a wholesome and thoughtful class. Jo was very attentive and genuinely wanted our mugs to work out and look cute. She has an eye for detail so I’ll definitely come back.

Had a mug handbuilding workshop with instructor Jo Waller. Such a lovely time learning from and creating with her. It was a very friendly and casual class especially for me as a complete beginner ! Looking forward to going back for more classes and making more creations :)

Booked one of the hand building classes for me and a friend and we had such a lovely time. Lawrence was a fantastic teacher, really knowledgeable and encouraged us to think creatively. You can make as many bowls as you like in the 2 hours, most people made 2 and you can create them in the style that you would like. Great experience and really good for the mind.

Loved the two-hour pottery course I did here. Cécile was a great teacher.

The workshops are not worth the money. You pay 150 pounds to be in a class with 10 people and the teacher doesn’t help or give any support. It’s like watching a YouTube video. The bell doesn’t work and no one picks up the phone.

Just completed a throwing course and it was wonderful. My teacher Clare was exceptional as a potter and teacher, I learned a lot and have signed up for another course. The only downside was that out of the 6 pots I made, two were cracked and one was lost "probably broken in the kiln". Overall I would recommend this course and lovely studio.

This is my second course at Crown Works, my husband and I did the full day six hour course in the summer and then the six week course this winter - both were excellent! The instructors are wonderful, the studio is welcoming and a great teaching venue. I love the size of the class - small enough that you get individual attention but large enough that you can learn from others and meet a lovely bunch of people! I would recommend doing both the courses in the order we did if this is your first time throwing, looking forward to doing more courses next year!
