  The most incredible experience….I was interested in these shoes but to be sure about size I went to the factory in Northampton. I was expecting a quick tour and shoe fit. What I got was one of the most special experiences of my life. Chris, the latest owner of the company his great great grandfather started, is doing magical things: hand stitching, Horween leather from Chicago, Kudu Suede, valuing his employees to the point of developing a shoe that required even more labour, craft over profit, details details details, training, Buffalo ink (oh that blue!), tanneries from Dorset using oak bark from Wales. All with good reason: excellence. The man’s pursuit is mind boggling. This is just a tiny part of it all. If someone doesn’t do what Chris is doing, it will get lost. I already loved shoes, but now! On a practical level I’m glad I went as we determined I needed the wide fitting (G) but the magic, oh the magic! Thank you Chris. PS The two I bought are so beautiful I considered wearing one of each today!

  The classic white sneaker is a staple of my wardrobe but I got sick of throwing out two pairs of Stan Smiths a year and didn’t want to spend $900 on a pair of Brunello Cucunelli’s. I liked that the Crowns where made to order in England which overcame my hesitation about the 9 week order time They’ve worn like a dream since I got them and they feel like they’re going to last me until I’m 50

  I've had my trainers for nearly 5 years now so it was time to send them back for a resole, I was amazed how responsive they were with the comms also they went beyond just a resole, new laces and new inner sole were also replaced .First class thanks Crown .

  Shoes made of high quality leather and well finished, so I am generally pleased with the product. 4 stars out of 5 given the total absence of communication from Crown Northampton regarding the progress in fulfilling the order, this would provide a much better customer experience more especially when we are beyond the 45 days lead time that is provided when placing the order.

  I bought 2 pairs of Harlestone hand stitched sneakers. One with calf leather n the other with Shell Cordovan leather. The materials used are of high quality no question. However I gave them 3 stars because brand new out of the box the leather had minor scratches which I had to repair myself. The stitching and finish is not commensurate with the price I paid. Some areas of the sole and leather seam had gaps. And the most glaring thing that secured the 3 stars was the tongue. Whenever I wear them it will flop to one side when walking. Not something befitting of its high price. All they had to do was sew part of the tongue down to prevent it from flopping to one side. I think this maybe unique to the Harlestone handstitched models. Even though the materials were top notch the quality of the workmanship is lacking. The finish is also not impeccable. My shoes came late like everybody's but I would like to commend their customer service for being really good. I had all my emails answered except one and I'm generally very pleased with their service.

  Sometimes in life you just have to treat yourself. Handmade, looks good, feels good, exceptional quality so pleased we still have great British craftsmanship alive and well in the 21st Century. I will definitely order another pair.

  I have two pairs of Crown Northampton shoes now, a pair of sneakers and pair of desert boots. These shoes are of exceptional quality. Both are extremely comfortable and were easy to wear in. Looked after, these shoes will last a lifetime. One of the reasons I went to Crown was that you can get all of their shoes re-soled, a big benifit in this world of throw away items. I have had these shoes a year now, I love them.

  Quite a frustrating experience unfortunately. my order did finally come in at day 90 and I really needed to chase up after it. Communication could be improved, a simple stock email to let customers know of a delay (as well as a realistic E.T.A on the orders arrival ) would save a lot of staff time and retain customer good will . As it was I did feel like I was being fobbed off on the three occasions I emailed. At this price point people have high expectations of customer service and rightly so. On a more positive note I did like the shoes. The G fitting has a chunky look that I really like and the fit was good.

  I have received the third pair of sneakers, this time is a Gat sneakers of the jazz collection! This sneaker wears like a glove, a light weight shoe in a super soft leather. to confirm that yours sneakers are the best that money can buy. For sure I will purchase again and again. Very very happy with your shoes. I had second pair a month ago, pure luxury sneakers. Both are overstone, one is the classic white version, and one the blue kudu suede in TL version. Many many pros for sure.the only cons in my opinion on the TL version, because of a very very very soft suede leather, it is bit loose/wide on ankle support. Other than that, exceptional quality. I will buy for sure again.
