We loved our Wedding at The Crown Lodge! We originally were meant to be married back in November 2020 but with covid we pushed it back to October 2022, and wow! The Autumnal colour scheme we chose worked so well with not only the season but the venue also. I loved the woodland feel and used that to decorate. Stephanie was great and gave us lots of tips and ideas and Kylie was fun and reassuring and helped us loads when we were feeling let down by family. I would always recommend The Crown Lodge, it’s just beautiful! There were a few hiccups - our wedding cheese cake wasn’t put out and ready when we arrived, the top table was meant to be adjusted but wasn’t, the outside bar was meant to be manned but wasn’t so majority of our guests didn’t get a drink!!, our padlock which we placed in 2020 had be lost 😭 and our birch wood logs which we used for table decorations were swapped with a few of their decorative birch wood but now has bright orange spray on them 👎🏼

We were married at the Crown Lodge in November 2022; we chose to have our ceremony outside which made for a truly spectacular setting surrounded by golden and auburn trees and an atmospheric mist hanging over the Downs. The setting was one of many of our (and our guests') favourite things! Inside the barn, Steph and Kylie were right in that it didn't need much decoration as it was already festooned with fairy lights and other cute touches (like the "Happily Ever After" sign) - we had almost everything we needed and could hire little extras like table numbers. Steph and Kylie were incredibly supportive in ensuring that our day turned out just how we'd planned. From our initial contact and first visit through to collecting our things the next morning, nothing was too much bother. We'd like to thank them and the other staff who made our special day a reality!

As a wedding photographer I get to see a lot of venues and The Crown Lodge is certainly one of my favourites. It's set in idyllic countryside with beautiful views and is such a pleasure to photograph. The lodge is a small and cosy venue to get married at and the outside pagoda with it's bench seating is a very intimate setting for small weddings. The staff are very helpful. There's plenty of carparking available. Thoroughly recommend The Crown Lodge and look forward to going back there again.

Words cannot describe how amazing this venue is. If you wanted a quirky, rustic, outdoor setting but don’t want to have a traditional barn style wedding, then this is the venue for you. Stephanie, Kylie and the team are just amazing. They give you all their years of expertise. They were great at communicating, replying to any email (with all my random questions) really quickly. We had total faith that if anything had gone wrong throughout the day, they would have just sorted it with no fuss. It’s great the venue allows you to bring in your own caterers, so you can do whatever wedding style you want. And the views across the Downs are just stunning. So many amazing photo opportunities. All our guests kept commenting how wonderful the venue is. We couldn’t have picked a better venue, and we actually feel sad that it’s over and we won’t see it again. We would 100% recommend Crown Lodge.
