Fine and still charming abbey, even though in ruins, dating in its origins from the 700s.

Horrible experience. Stepped through the door and accosted by two volunteers. I declined the tour but they would not leave me alone, constantly in my face, pretending to offer "help", but in reality amusing themselves by baiting and harassing a single visitor who just wanted to be left alone and said so. When I arrived I had seen a single lady leaving, looking rather shocked, but didn't understand why until after. I wonder if they tormented everyone that morning? I've written to the church authorities. If you are an introvert, avoid. Not a safe place to visit.
