I've just replaced my car battery. The Crow Metals website calculator said the old one was worth about £5.00, so I loaded it into my car and went down there (taking my drivers licence and bank debit card with me). They wouldn't take it, saying there is a minimum transaction of £10.00. Why don't they mention this on their website? Wasted my time and wasted my petrol. Thanks a bunch!

If you're prepared to spend 2hrs standing around then its the perfect place. The most annoying thing is they use the main weigh bridge to send of their scrap in larger lorries and these are 100% prioritised over a customer. Management.. I know sending off several tonnes of raw copper is huge income, but consider your trades people customers as well, without us there is no business!. Friendly admin staff, but the yard men have total disregard to customers, often either shouting or giving attitude, I know such individuals aren't supposed to have customer service skills but they're genuinely awfully rude!

Always Best prices for Copper. Romford is busy at times,but I’ve Always used this company for my own scrap and different company’s I’ve worked for. Jenny on Weighbridge is excellent. Although They do insist apon ID !! They now have another one in Dagenham that serves just vans and the customer service is great . Very professional.

When phoning around to compare prices Crow Metals always pay the best, very happy with the service we receive, everything is explained when we arrive and the digital weights are easy to read, my dad is a plumber and sorts his metal in categories Brass, heavy copper, Clean copper and copper tanks. He has also used the Dagenham branch as it’s better for vans, sometimes Romford can get busy in the week with lorry’s.
