I have worked for Crossroads for 6 years now. I started as a care planner, moved into coordination, a senior support worker role and now as quality assistant. My working day is varied with different challenges. I enjoy finishing each day knowing I have helped provide a service for a main carer who is in need of a break. The training and progression development is excellent! Salary and working conditions are also good.

I have worked for Crossroads for 10 years longest I have worked anywhere which shows how much I value & enjoy working for the Charity. I work with amazing colleagues who all have compassion to want to help people. As an employer Crossroads where very supportive when I became an unpaid family carer whilst working, couldn't have got through it without the genuine help and understanding . It's rare to find this type of employer

I joined Crossroads in 2015, having worked for many years in childcare. I didn't really know what to expect but found the whole experience amazing. Every day is different and being able to support the clients and their carers is so rewarding. I've supported clients from the age of 16 to 100 with a range of medical conditions. I was offered training and support from the outset, with extra training where clients were living with complex needs. It has never felt like work, and it's lovely to be able to get to know the clients and carers, to build a trusting relationship with them. There's always someone on the end of the phone to answer questions or offer support/advice whenever needed. I wasn't sure if I was making the right choice when I joined Crossroads but can honestly say I wouldn't want to work anywhere else and they are such a supportive charity both to clients and staff

I started working as a Support Worker for Crossroads in June 2022, and I think it's a fantastic place to work. The culture is genuinely warm, compassionate and understanding which has made me feel supported in overcoming some of the stresses that were brought on by the pandemic. Highly recommend them as an employer.
