Very friendly and reassuring. The nurse I saw remembered me from twelve months ago which made me feel confident and less anxious.

The surgery is a poor shadow of its former self. Telephone waiting list can be as high as 40 people when trying to book an appointment first thing in the morning. Receptionist have a very abrupt and condescending telephone manner, and getting to see a doctor is difficult. The surgery say that it's due to an increasing patient list, but that doesn't explain the bad attitudes from receptionists and poor application from some of the doctors. If doctors are incapable of diagnosing ailments the return footfall will make the place even busier, that's basic logic. What happened to right first time every time approach? People in industry have to adopt that application to problems. Expect to have to visit this surgery at least twice for most matters, and don't be surprised if nothing ever gets resolved. After 4:00pm the waiting rooms are virtually empty and it's difficult to get an appointment then due to hardly any doctors being on site. They promote telephone appointments now, more than ever. Some of the original doctors have left the practice, and the remaining ones from before appear to go home ater 4:00pm, leaving new doctors, who appear to be clueless at their jobs. I recommend researching your illness on the Internet before visiting this surgery, because they will try to fob you off with some over the counter ointment for most things and you'll have to go through the experience again and again. They appear to put everything down to depression, imagination, or indigestion. Some of the doctors need guidance when talking to them, as they appear to be poor at their job, and there appears to be a high turnover of staf now too compared to before. If I performed at work in the manner that some do at this surgery, I would be disciplined or fired.

Asked to book my routine annual medical for work which I’ve had done at my old GP in Boston Spa for the last 5 years without any issues, before moving to Crossley Street in February this year. When asking to book my 2023 medical today I was told (by a rather rude and abrupt receptionist) I have to go private as they don’t have the capacity. I explained it wasn’t any rush and happy to wait a month+ for a space to open up with a Doctor to make it easier but was shut down abruptly and told they will not help whatsoever. I then asked where I can get medical done privately if my new GP surgery won’t provide this common service so I can get a medical done ahead of 2023 and was simply told “google it” !!! Avoid this place at all costs.
