A very underrated tourist attraction! I’ve lived in the area for years and only just found out about it. Definitely worth a visit, you’ll get a nice view of the river too.

It's where the chain ferry used to cross before the bridge was built.There is a sailing school close by,and rowing clubs and sea cadets are based here.The slipway is still there and used a lot by boat and trailer sailors.
