One of the best places to stay.. beautiful manor and excellent people. The staff at the restaurant and front desk took excellent care of us. The pool was slightly cold at 29.5 degrees C for us to enjoy . But I would like to give a special mention to Bryani at the restaurant who took really good care of us and made us feel special. Thank you . Will be back for sure.

April visit This hotel is beautiful, with excellent grounds and very comfortable accommodation, however the whole experience was let down by the poor accounting system. As my wife is disabled we had requested an upgrade to an accessible room and agreed a charge of £60 for the 2 nights for the upgrade. On arrival we were asked to pay £100, which after some disagreement, was reduced back to the agreed sum of £60. This was made even worse when we came to check out as the final bill showed, not only the £60 paid, but had again charged the £100. We refused to pay the £100 for obvious reasons and left. Following my written complaint, I received the explanation that, following our initial request for an upgrade, there had been a rate rise from £60 to £100 for the two nights which in error had been applied to our booking, in addition a further error had automatically applied this increase again. I find it amazing that this type of error can occur and also amazing that this hotel can increase the rate from £60 to £100, a 75% increase, we have all heard of inflation but that is ridiculous. In addition to the above I feel it necessary to make disabled and wheelchair users aware of some difficulties at this hotel. The accessible room was first class, very comfortable, well furnished and with an excellent wet room, however there are only two disabled parking places which do not appear to require a blue badge, they are marked as accessible but seem to be used by any guest disabled or not. We accept that, because of the age of this hotel, it is difficult, and in some cases, impossible to adapt for wheelchair use. The main entrance is too narrow to support a ramp, there is a sign indicating accessible access at the left side of the building, this door was locked, my wife had to wait in the car park while I checked in. There is no direct access inside the building from the accessible room to the restaurant as there are a number of steps, again, difficult to change a a result of the age of the property. To access the restaurant wheelchair guests have to exit the building, travel approx. 25-50 yards along a gravel pathway and then re-enter the building, fine on a dry day , but not very pleasant on a bad day when going to breakfast or dressed for dinner as there is no cover available. A beautiful hotel with outstanding grounds and very comfortable rooms, but lacking in attention to customer service. Mr and Mrs R Lippett
