    Changed the train from 7 coaches to 4 (one was first class) so they effectively halves a full trip from cheltenham to Edinburgh, offered no refund or compensation, it was like musical chairs to have people with disabilities to have a seat and staff were yelling at people to move back while the train was full and all coaches were full of people standing... Total safety hazard. Must have been this company’s first day operating. Pitiful… avoid at all cost.

    The trains are decent (if they run) but for gods sake can you do something about the internet speed? A lot of people travel for work and they need to work whilst in the train. Wouldn’t mind paying a small fee if the internet was decent

    *EDITED POST* My experience with Cross Country Trains and their "Customer service" 1- Booked return journey from Birmingham to Weymouth 6th/13th August for our summer holiday. My 2 year olds first ever holiday (cross country responsible for Birmingham to Southampton) 2- Train strike announced for 13th August so forced to cut £1400 holiday a day short 3- Train there was massively overcrowded but at least on time 4- As previously mentioned forced to get train home a day early. Train was 41 minutes late getting back to Birmingham. Announcement advised passengers to use delay repay. 5- Did it as soon as I got home (should take ten days to process). 6- THEY SEND ME a case reference number. 7- Three weeks later I chase it up via Facebook chat. 8- Next morning get an email offering me a fiver. Should be whole amount as the strike ruined my holiday 9- Use phone number provided to question £5 offer. Told they can't discuss it as it isn't my name on the claim (see point 6) 10- Told to email them and they will get in touch "in due course". 11 - I post this on every platform I can think of until it gets resolved. ZERO MARKS OUT OF TEN CROSS-COUNTRY

    I’ve always problems with this company. Tuesday 8/23, all the trains from London Marylebone to Warwick were cancelled and no solution for at least 3 hours. No one was capable to give me an answer except “take the tube, go to London euston and then you can maybe go to coventry…”. Sunday 8/28, all the trains going from Manchester P. to Reading were cancelled. I supposed to take a direct train to Leamington Spa. I can barely walk and I’m now on my way to Rugby then I’ve to change twice to go to my destination. It’s ridiculous!

    First I want to say that the employees I have met on the trains have been brilliant and working in what appears to be a horrific company. I have travelled a lot with Cross Country from Stockport to Birmingham in 1st class however, the first class is no better than economy apart from a wider seat. No catering of any description "because they got rid of the host's in 1st class" and it was left to the train manager to do as well as check tickets through the whole train. They need to get their act together or lose this franchise as the cost of the tickets are too expensive to reflect a service which is non existent. CrossCountry get it sorted out.
