I’ve had an ongoing issue with rats in my house since we moved in. I called yesterday about a serious rat issue within the chimney breast, I was told dalpest would call me within the day or next week, even know they confirmed their open for the weekend… still no contact. A bank holiday shouldn’t off put serious rodent issues. I’ve just renovated upstairs and now I have this. Rats are going ballistic in the chimney breast right where I sleep, I haven’t slept for 2 days and have nowhere else to go. I called emergency repairs today to be told they have nothing in place for this. The rat is causing structural damage inside the chimney and very close to the boiler. I contacted dalpest myself but they said they’ve not seen the job from cross keys yet. For 48 hours this rat has been gnawing through brickwork and I can hear it falling down the chimney breast. 2 days before this I had to pay for the removal of a honey bees nest which cost me £100 assessment + treatment. 2 emergency incidents with no help & minus £100 & nowhere to go. This is unacceptable.

Very disappointing . I’m now a year past move in. My front door is damaged, and the bathroom floor is bubbling up. I have chased these issues many times without success. I am writing this after waiting hours after the time agreed for the booked repair of my flooring. The flooring job was booked incorrectly so they couldnt actually do what was needed. I called customer service this morning and was passed from person to person, 7 calls this morning and still not able to speak to “the right department” and no record of the job even being booked. Very frustrating and will need to more time off work to get this issue resolved with no idea about my front door. I had to re explain my issues every time I called today and was cut off. Just feels very disorganised and chaotic with no resolve. Looking at these other reviews, most of which are negative, I can see this is becoming a more frequent issue, previously I had only heard good things about cross keys but sadly this is not my impression now.

I contacted Cross Keys today, as my porch light is not working and this is an health and safety issue, especially when it is dark outside and people call. It was suggested I contact the council, but they said I was ineligible for help. Cross Keys just say it is in my contract I should change light bulbs. The casing is seized, so with arthritic hands, I am unable to remove. Only other suggestion was to employ a private person to do work on their property. No real help at all. I tried myself, standing on a chair on my tiptoes, despite health conditions and being in mid 60s. I managed to lever the casing open and could find no bulb or holder in there. I then called CK back and now they want photographs, despite my telling them I strained my back levering the case open. Although always polite, at no time did any member of staff ask me if I was ok. Shocking !

Utterly dissatisfied with the service I've received, a year ago I sent a request through to the defects department in regards to the back door of my new house having a gap in the glass which was letting in the cold air. A year later this has not been resolved, it seems the team did not chase the developers unless I have chased them, each time I only received responses that they have not yet heard from the developer or that there is an issue with the supplier. With the cost of heating gone up I have not been able to put my heating on due to loss which would have been made due to the gap. I do not understand why it has taken so long to be sorted.
