Midweek lunchtime I ordered lasagna hubby ordered tikka masala then realised that it may have milk (has an allergy) looked on app couldn’t find it but staff even though already prepared we’re happy to change it for the beef ale pie. Very helpful young female staff member. Food was lovely especially the pie I did get food envy on that.

I'm a bit disappointed. It's been a while since I wanted to go there so I decided today was the day. Ordered a Sunday roast that was a bit dry. The potatoes were not fresh and the vegetables were soggy, however the beef was very good. The atmosphere of it looks a bit dated, although I liked the cinema memorabilia on the wall. Also, please wash your menus, they were very sticky.

Staff were friendly. Dogs are allowed in one area which was lovely. They have a separate gluten free menu. Unfortunately, let down by the food. I ordered a medium rare steak and was underwhelmed. Very chewy, was not enjoyable and a task to get through. My friend seemed to enjoy her pie though.

Greatest value pub food in the area. This time round I was here for the curry night Wednesday. The Food was nice and flavourful and incredible value as the Wednesday deal is £6.50 for the meal and a drink as of April 2023. I added a side of chips as I hadn't eaten much in the day and left fairly satisfied. The total cost was still under £10. Incredibly fast service and was just what I needed. I did notice that if ordered though the app it costs more but if you order at the bar then it's as advertised on the menu. I will be returning quite often as I am due to be staying in the area for some time. Keep it up crooked billet ☺️
