My daughter rented Barn Owl cottage for a treat for my wife and I and with her partner joined us for a great weekend. The cottages is beautifully designed and decorated. 2 bedrooms. 2 bathrooms, a spacious lounge and a well equipped kitchen. It is located on a lovely farm with horses and chickens. It has 3 well stocked fishing ponds and although I forgot my fishing gear it was idilic just to sit in the tranquil surroundings and enjoy the wild life. On the first evening we had a stroll to the local pub (Eagle &Child) and enjoyed a meal and a few beers. As I enjoy birding, we visited Mere Sands Wood on the Saturday and Martin Mere on the Sunday, both only 10 minutes drive. Cliff and Claire were very helpful.
