The visit of the apartments, that of the servants' quarter which gives precise information on the life of the staff at the end of the 19th century. The property is dotted with magnificent trees, it is a real pleasure to walk there. We had lunch at the cafe. National Trust soups are the best! La propriété est parsemée de magnifiques arbres, c'est un véritable plaisir de s'y promener. Nous avons déjeuné au café. Les soupes du National Trust sont les meilleures ! Nous avons acheté des livres au bookshop puis des souvenirs au magasin. Le personnel est très accueillant. Superbe journée.

I was in a Classic Room in the newer part of the hotel. The room was a step up from other cut-price hotel chain rooms. In the room were items such as a clothes iron & ironing board, trouser press, tea & coffee making facilities, desk, phones, armchairs, etc. The staff were all amazing, from the reception staff through the restaurant servers and cooks, to the cleaning staff. The hall and its grounds are a wonder to behold and I will certainly be staying there again.

Had a spa break which was amazing in every way. All the staff are really nice and friendly. Special shout out to the lovely waiter on Monday morning who had come to work on his 59th wedding anniversary food was great but its worth getting a room with evening meal included. Grounds are beautiful and it's worth looking round the older part of the hotel. Only criticism is that disabled access could be better. Understandable in the older part but the newer part as well. For example the pool has a small walkway around in places and the lift on the top floor was out of order. Thanks for a lovely stay
