FAQ

What extracurricular activities are available for students at your grammar school?

At Crestwood Community School, we offer a wide range of extracurricular activities for our students. These include sports teams, music and drama clubs, art clubs, and various academic clubs such as debate and robotics. We believe that participating in extracurricular activities enhances our students' overall educational experience and helps them develop important skills outside of the classroom.

Can you provide information on your school's college acceptance rates?

As a grammar school, our students are academically prepared for post-secondary education. The majority of our graduates go on to attend highly respected universities and colleges both in the UK and abroad. However, we do not disclose specific college acceptance rates as we believe that the success of our students is not solely determined by the college they attend, but rather by the skills, knowledge, and character they develop during their time with us.

What support services are available for students and families?

We offer a range of support services for our students and families, including academic counseling, mental health counseling, and learning support for students with special educational needs. We also have a dedicated pastoral care team that works closely with families to ensure that each student's individual needs are met. Additionally, we offer various workshops and seminars throughout the year on topics such as parenting, study skills, and career planning.

What is the teacher-to-student ratio in the classrooms?

At Crestwood Community School, we believe in providing a high-quality education for our students. To achieve this, we maintain a low teacher-to-student ratio in our classrooms. Our average class size is 20 students, and we have a team of highly qualified and experienced teachers who are dedicated to ensuring that each student receives individual attention and support.

Great school that doesn't treat the children like they are in an army camp! Head teacher is available to speak to if needed and all staff are friendly and helpful. My son was on 81% attendance until I moved him here, now it's 100% and they also deal with bullying unlike some schools.

I can only speak from personal experience but my daughter (year 7 ) absolutely loves it at the cherbourg campus. I've found the teaching staff and headmistress to be supportive, fair, enthusiastic, animated, and very proud. They've addressed issues promptly with very good results.
