FAQ

What types of apples do you use for your cider?

We use a variety of apples in our cider, including traditional cider apples like Dabinett and Kingston Black, as well as eating apples like Cox's Orange Pippin and Bramley.

Are your apple orchards sustainably managed?

Yes, we are committed to sustainable agriculture and manage our orchards using environmentally friendly practices. We use natural fertilizers, minimize pesticide use, and maintain biodiversity on our farm.

How is your cider produced?

Our cider is made using a traditional method called the "rack and cloth" process. We press the apples, ferment the juice using natural yeasts, and then age the cider in oak barrels for up to a year before bottling.

Are your ciders pasteurized?

No, we do not pasteurize our ciders. We believe that pasteurization can alter the flavor of the cider, so we use a different method to ensure that our ciders are safe to drink. We test every batch for harmful bacteria before bottling.

Can visitors see the cider-making process at your mill?

Yes, we offer tours of our cider mill so visitors can see how our cider is made. We also have a tasting room where visitors can sample our ciders and purchase bottles to take home. However, due to Covid-19 restrictions, we may have limited availability for tours and tastings.
