We have a much loved sofa bought in 2006, after 16 years of constant use, it was looking tired and lots of the springs were broken, it also had feather cushions, which the sales assistant at time of purchase had forewarned us about (having to plump them every night) but i didn’t want to buy another sofa as i haven’t sat on or found anything else as comfortable, everyone who sat on it, said the same. I contacted a few companies, most of whom didn’t bother to reply. Craig of Craig Lodge Upholstery, was professional, knowledgeable and friendly with lots of great advice and assistance. I was unsure of the new cushion fillings, so Craig invited us to visit and try several different options, which was a fabulous idea, as we were confident then, about what our ‘new’ sofa would look like. Now finished after only a week, it looks and feels wonderful, like new. Communication was excellent and i have to say, i respect and applaud the way Craig and Richard run their business, they turned up when they said they would to collect and deliver, even given challenging weather conditions. The work was top class and they spent time explaining the process and how the work would be carried out. The new seat cushions and work on the frame were of excellent quality. The price for such detailed and complicated work was extremely reasonable. I would highly recommend their services.

What a shame there are no more stars! From start to finish Craig worked tirelessly dropping samples to my home and helped me finalise the fabric for a corner sofa, arm chair and foot stool. Got a quote by email from Craig about reupholstering our chairs. Called to discuss arrangements, and agreed would email my address so he could drop the sample book in the next week. Didn't turn up so chased by email. No apology but said would post it out. Never turned up so went elsewhere. Not sure what happened - if you don't want the job just say?

Richard did a wonderful job reupholstering two art deco armchairs from the 1930s. They were in quite a state and he returned them to me looking beautiful! He was very professional, giving me good, honest advice on fabric and collecting/returning the chairs exactly when agreed. Overall an excellent service and I would definitely use this company again for any upholstery needs.

Great job completed by Craig on our ten year old dining table chairs. We simply couldn't find another set of chairs to replace the solid oak ones we purchased in 2011 so ventured onto Google looking for local upholsterers. After contacting three companies, Craig's response, professionalism and no BS approach meant we knew exactly where we stood and what we would be getting. Samples of fabric delivered, chairs taken away and returned just one week later looking even better than brand new.
