Food & drinks: Excellent menu. The food is absolutely delicious. Adam Smith and his team are certainly at the top of their game. Noteworthy details: Excellent staff from the meet and greet team through to the reception. Woven restaurant staff are exceptional. Probably some, if not the the best service levels of any hotel or restaurant in the UK. The location and grounds together with the garden areas are magnificent.

Well worth the drive down from North Yorkshire the previous day. Setting, food, and service, we couldn't have asked for more. Fantastic, and due to having family 10 minutes away, we will be back. We had a 6-year-old with us, and the member of staff helping us was fantastic. Sorry, I don't remember her name.

We stayed here for a night and loved it. The hotel is absolutely beautiful as are the grounds. We were kindly upgraded to a Junior Suite in the Mansion house which was large, gorgeously decorated and so comfortable. We absolutely loved our room! The service was fantastic all over. We were touched at the warm welcome letter we got, especially since we were staying here before our baby arrives. The spa area was very nice and relaxing as well, although my husband said he would’ve liked a few more facilities such as a sauna and jacuzzi/hydrotherapy pool as many other hotels of this level have. We only ate at the Drawing Room since I’m pregnant and can’t eat a variety of things, but the food there was delicious and service great! We would definitely return!

Elliot was very welcoming and helpful. The Stable room was comfortable and all housekeeping requests were met. Special anniversary amenities placed in the room which was a lovely touch. Dinner in the Barn was outstanding. We were lucky with the weather and we were able to enjoy drinks on the terrace. We didn't use the spa so cannot comment. The lunch in the spatisserie was tasty but a little overpriced for two wraps.Would defenitly recommend for a special night away.

Expensive but great staff. Main issue (generalisation) were the guests with more money than sense who had a lack of common courtesy who complained about the simplest of things making the experience uncomfortable (Excess money does not equal classy and respectable). Service : 5/5 | Location : 5/5 … More
