Such a great little cottage in the town of Ripon. We’ve enjoyed it thoroughly! Well stocked kitchen, nice bathroom, lovely seating in the rear garden. Lovely neighbours at no.1. Make sure to have breakfast at Ollie’s, go to the races at Ripon racecourse and make sure to visit the Cathedral. We also took a walk along river Skell to Fountains Abbey. Magic! Nice restaurants along Kirkgate, as well as Ripon Retro for buying some vinyl! Finally don’t miss out on the hornblower, every night at 9 on Marketsquare.

I am a very critical person when it comes to holidays and travel, since it's my job. So, it amazes me that I can't fault this cottage. It is beautifully decorated and has top quality furnishings and facilities - way more than you might expect from a holiday property. The location, right in the heart of Ripon is superb. Access is tight, and parking is limited, but it wasn't a real problem. There's excellent restaurants nearby - we had an amazing Indian meal at Jaflong. Shopping is good, and Ripon is great for access to the Dales. Simon, our host was in touch before our stay to offer any assistance, which was a reassuring touch.
