    Rooms: Good rooms comfy beds Nearby activities: Kendal is a good base to explore the lake district .There are buses to Grange over sands Ulverston on the hourly barrow bus. You can go to Windermere and Ambleside and Grasmere keswick.. But this bus gets busy and is once an hour. I went to Glenridding on ullswater . There's a bus from Windermere goes over kirkstone pass . Safety: The hotel is positioned next to railway station and 5 minutes to bus station. Kendal is extremely safe place to walk around. The hotel is very secure with 24 hour staff. Walkability: About 10 minute walk to kendal shops and about 12 minutes to wetherspoons which is just off main road. All rooms are accessible by lift. Food & drinks: Food was very good with plenty of choice. There was staffing issues like all lake district businesses they struggle for staff. But they were hardworking and kind.. Noteworthy details: Hotel is excellent value for money. It has very friendly staff . Nice rooms. Good food. Good entertainment on every night. But you have to remember it's very cheap and not to expect 5 star hotel

    went to county hotel for easter weather was perfecty .coach driver NIgel was very nice and very freindly. The hotel was under staffed but the girl were brilliant, they didnt complain. some nights we had to wait for meals but the worked very hard ,entertainment was good, drinks were reasonable. we had a lovely time , so thank-you all for the hard job you did ..ANITA HICKMAN room 110
