There are no penalties or fees for rescheduling as long as it is done more than 48 hours before the scheduled rental time.

Good quality mountain bike for a day out to Grizedale Forest on the other side of Windermere. The size guide on their website indicated I would need a medium, but when I first test rode the bike it was apparent I in fact needed a large - this was swapped without question. I was also provided with a lock and pump (I had my own helmet) and was swiftly on my way. Very helpful staff and I would definitely recommend!

Not a great "cycle lane" into Ambleside! The bike and man was friendly enough however I was disappointed not to have received clearer help when I called before arrival or on arrival about the routes we could take. Personally the journey into Ambleside unless your children are confident on a busy road with busses and lorries is not an appropriate ride as was the case for my family. He informed us that it was a cycle lane to Ambleside which could take between 20mins and 2hrs to get there. We walked a good part of the journey on the often narrow pavement as it was not fair to be riding at pedestrians and as implied my 9 year old was not confident on the busy road. I appreciate the fact that the ferry across Windermere being closed was beyond your control however if I knew our day trip would start with 4-5miles along a busy road I would never have hired the bikes. His response when I fairly politely shared my concerns about the cycle lane was yes there are patches where there are no pavement and yes it's not an ideal cycle lane but it officially a cycle lane according to the council!! Would not recommend for families

I'd never rented bikes before but thought cycling would make a nice addition to our trip. I ordered a couple of bikes online for the day. Upon arrival I just gave my name and the owner got us set up pretty quickly. In addition to the bike, we were given a lock, a tire pump, and a map with a route. The route was similar to one I'd found in ordinance survey app but I'd decided to follow it as I'm unfamiliar with the area. It's a route I'd recommend. The bikes were in good condition and there was no complaints about them. The owner adjusted them before we had set off. I would recommend this bike hire.
