Good meat, friendly staff, also sell eggs, cheese and other selected foodstuffs. They also sell biltong, which is spiced, air dried beef. I tried it for the first time today, and it's delicious.

The Country Butchers is about an hour from me. Honestly, it's worth the trip. I lived in South Africa for quite a while and found myself missing real Biltong and Dry Sausage. Quick Google and headed over to give them a go. We've been back three times since. They're quality is second to none. I'd go so far as to say its better than I had in SA. On a personal note, I was a butcher for nearly 10 years. My family ran a shop for over 40 across three generations and I can tell you, game recognise game! These guys are on the ball. Reasonably priced, actually the highest quality available. No cut corners there. Good to see someone doing it properly and doing well because of it. I most certainly will be back (in a few hours Infact haha) and if you're thinking of going. You really should.

It took me 3 years to finally get to the butcher. I went to buy wors and I wasn’t disappointed it turns out all the awards they have on their back wall are the real deal. I shared the wors out amongst my family and it looks like I’m going to have to make regular trips to Harrogate now. We also loved their garlic biltong (very tasty) 5 star rating!!

Overcharged me by £1, annoying. Didn’t realise at the time but I was overcharged by £1 and not offered a receipt, which makes me think it wasn’t a mistake. Otherwise, lovely meat.
