  Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. The service, communication and the product has been outstanding. Nothing has been too much trouble and the company provided me with all the information I needed to help me pick a mattress that would be best for my daughter. My daughter loves it. Highly recommend!

  Very dissatisfied with my mattress. Very expensive and after only a few weeks the middle started to sag. The company were very helpful of course before I purchased to help me to choose the right mattress but afterwards when I wrote to them about the sagging they were not interested. They offered to add another of course but I would have to pay for it and to pay for the shipping of the mattress to them and back. They also pointed out: we don’t make these mattresses! It’s now been around ten months and the mattress is horrible. I have constant back pain, the dip in the middle is getting worse and now visible even with a duvet cover on top, that is how deep it is. I would have involved it Trading Standards but I couldn’t face the stress. Please avoid this company. Buy from reputable companies like John Lewis if you want to save money and stress. I received a response to my review which is insulting to say the least. You don't even have the courtesy to respond with a personal message but rather roll out the usual about settlement and turning the mattress that you copy and paste from somewhere. I have been turning and flipping the mattress since I got it, regularly every week. The problem is NOT natural settlement. The problem is it is poor quality and the middle part which bears all the weight does not have the adequate support which means that there is now an ugly and uncomfortable hole in the middle of the mattress which shows whichever way you turn or flip it! You are a small company but there are no excuses, in fact as a small family company, you should be proud of your products and do everything possible to make them the best they can be and that your customers are happy With what they buy. I noticed there is another poor review about the futon mattress so perhaps they are the ones that have the problems. You say you make all your mattresses but I have an email saying that you don't make these! Maybe it was a typo, but I do have it in writing. I should really send this mattress away to be properly tested to see if it can adequately carry a regular weight adult. I didn't want to go to the stress of involving regulatory bodies but now I received such response, I am considering it. Thank you

  The BEST mattresses and customer service to match! If you are considering a new mattress, don't hesitate to buy from Cottonsafe. We were looking for a flame retardant free mattress a few years ago and visited the Cottonsafe showroom and had a really long conversation with Mark. We were very impressed by the company's commitment to and knowledge of the harm caused by flame retardants, and how to produce a flame retardant free mattress that meets the UK's stringent "match test". Their mattresses are truly "chemical-free", and they don't just pay lip service to it, they are committed not only to that but also to lobbying to change the industry for the better, which I am very happy to support. On top of that their mattresses are excellent quality! We tried lots of mattresses that day in the showroom and settled on the Widecombe medium. It is the most comfortable and supportive mattress we have ever slept on! We love it! We recommend the mattress to everyone! Years later, it has really stood the test of time and is still like the day we bought it. So we are now looking to buy more which has prompted me to place this review. We haven't considered anyone else for our new mattresses, we've found the holy grail of mattresses! When we've had to contact Cottonsafe their Customer Service has always been excellent, with prompt, polite responses, and detailed information provided. They obviously really care about what they do and their customers. I can't recommend Cottonsafe enough.

  Absolutely delighted with our sons new mattress. With so much on the market we felt Cotton Safe were the only true chemical free that we could find. Customer services was brilliant at helping us get the right fit for the odd IKEA sizes we wanted for his bunk bed. Couldn’t be more reassured he’s sleeping safely!

  We brought a children's bespoke original mattress as my son was needing an upgrade from his cot. Becca and Jamie showed us the range of mattress they have. It's worth visiting the showroom as there is a huge range of mattresses you can view. They ask you want you want and then advise based on this to try and focus your decision. They are really knowledgeable about the product and it's industry, they can tell you how the mass produced market differs and the health negatives that go with this and the advantages of choosing their product. We were lucky enough to see the area where they were made them and they are put together by hand with some pretty crazy machinery. Quite a fascinating process. Jamie said that the materials are largely sourced from the UK which is nice to know your buying more locally and not some mass produced thing from China. As for the mattress itself. My little one sleeps really well. Being all natural we feel like we are providing a healthy night sleep. Its warm and soft but firm enough to hold his weight and for him to grow and have the longevity to last and he was over the moon to get his new bed and mattress - you know, to the point he got told off. It's easy to get round and pliable enough to tuck him up even in a high bed. Payment was easy, they invoice and you can do it online. Thank you Becca and Jamie and the team. Great experience and product.

  Title: Wow what a mattress! I was looking for a natural mattress and became increasingly aware how difficult it was to understand what natural actually meant in the mattress world. I came across the Cotton Safe website and was immediately struck by the passion of the company to produce non toxic, chemical free mattresses with a transparency about their products I just hadn't found anywhere else. I knew I had found something special but was anxious about buying such a high cost item over the internet. I contacted the company asking for some advice about which mattress to go for as well as help with delivery dates and nothing was too much trouble! It was the Appledore Natural Mattress that was advised for my teenage daughter so we decided after reading the excellent reviews that we would go with it and my goodness what a mattress! It really is the most beautiful, high quality mattress I have ever bought and my daughter thinks it is the most comfortable mattress she has ever slept on. It has been over a year now since it arrived and she tells me all of the time how comfortable it is! It is worth noting that I was apprehensive about the initial smell mentioned in some reviews and I can confirm that it wasn't an unpleasant smell at all and it only lasted around a week. I want to thank the Cotton Safe team for their excellent product, their drive to challenge the mattress industry for the health of the consumer and their excellent customer service too! We will all be updating all of our mattresses to Cotton Safe ones as soon as we can!

  We bought a Cottonsafe Vegan Choice mattress (medium firmness) about three years ago. As vegans, we wanted a conventional sprung mattress that did not contain wool, but these were virtually impossible to find until Cottonsafe started producing them. The mattress is very comfortable and we have been very pleased with it. We now need to replace another mattress and are about to buy another one from Cottonsafe.

  Expensive, but that's to be expected. We spend a lot of time in bed and a mattress made out of organic cotton is chemical free. Flame retardant is.... full of chemicals and your spending possibly 8 hours+ breathing in and body contact with these chemicals?

  So pleased with my mattress. The company and employees are superb - they take their time to discuss any questions and queries. We also needed to visit the showroom during Covid-19 and they were so well set up, making sure that everything was kept hygienic and safe, yet we could still test the mattresses. My back settled to the mattress in about a week, rather than the longer month or so I've been led to believe is the usual time, such a comfy mattress. The delivery company also took the mattress straight up to our bedroom which was a super bonus!
