FAQ

What is the ratio of children to caregivers in your Family Day Care Services?

Our ratio of children to caregivers in our Family Day Care Services is 4:1. This means that we have one caregiver for every four children in our care at any given time.

What qualifications and certifications do your caregivers have?

All of our caregivers hold a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in Childcare and have undergone a mandatory DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check. Additionally, our caregivers hold certifications in first aid and child protection.

What is your policy for sick children in your care?

We have a strict policy that any child who is unwell or displaying symptoms of illness cannot attend our Family Day Care Services. If a child becomes unwell while in our care, we will contact the parent or guardian immediately to arrange for pickup.

What kind of activities and learning opportunities do you provide for children in your care?

We provide a wide range of activities and learning opportunities for children in our care, including arts and crafts, outdoor play, storytime, music and movement, and educational games. These activities are designed to stimulate children's creativity, promote physical development, and encourage social interaction.

How do you communicate with parents about their child's daily activities and progress?

We maintain regular communication with parents about their child's daily activities and progress through daily reports, which are sent home with the child at the end of each day. Additionally, we encourage parents to speak with our caregivers directly to discuss any concerns or questions they may have about their child's care.

Couldn’t not leave a review… what an AMAZING nursery!!! If I could give it more stars I would, I could not recommend this nursery to enough people! My son has just graduated and I am so sad to see him leave but he’s had the best time, the staff took on all of our concerns when he first started… having a clingy and anxious child was a big worry but the staff made us feel so comfortable and made sure we had nothing to worry about… and they were right!! The staff in school room are incredible, Gemma, Karen and Jayne especially my son adored! Thankyou so much Cotton Tails xx
