My electric vehicle broke down just as I crested Swinford Bridge and I managed to coast to a stop in the car park of The Talbot. After calling my RAC breakdown service who were absolutely useless, they sent Chris from CVR to help me. He was amazing & went above & beyond to help me. The car was in an awkward position but with a lot of maneuvering, he managed to get my car onto his tow truck. He towed me to a charger in witney & again we were faced with awkward maneuvering to get the car in front of the charger. At that point, he could have left but he didn't. As it turned out, the problem was much more complicated than simply running out of charge. He was reluctant to leave me as by now I had been broken down for over 7 hours and it was getting dark. He very patiently reloaded the car (electric cars are a complete pain when they won't charge as you can't even put them into neutral) and delivered me safely to the address that I had been travelling to. He was courteous, kind, knowledgeable and above all, caring, ensuring that I was not left abandoned with no way of dealing with the situation. I hope Chris's supervisors read this review and understand what an asset he is to your company! Thank you, again, Chris from the Leaf driving nurse

Was unfortunate enough to breakdown, but fortunate enough to have the pleasure of dealing with David and Scooba. David was tending to another breakdown that was coincidentally next to me and was kind enough to go out of his way to help check on my car, and radio back into the team to give them the heads up - speeding the process up. I bust a tyre on a remote country road, alone and in the rain and was stuck for 90 mins. This isn't their fault, I'm just setting the scene. The mechanic seemed in absolutely no rush to get me back on the road. While removing my tyre, he paused entirely, several times, to complain about various things such as "our country being overran", France, electric cars, French cars, China, efforts to prevent global warming, "Britain having no space" and "Britain helping everyone but nobody helping us". It felt quite clear that if when I responded or had any counterpoints, this would take longer. People are entitled to their opinions, and honestly this feels like a pretty amusing complaint while I'm typing it, but in reality it was quite disheartening to wait alone for so long only for the mechanic to stop to engage me in conversation rather than fixing my car efficiently. I felt quite vulnerable as a woman alone with nowhere to go in walking distance and it was a pretty miserable way for the experience to end. At one point, I don't remember what he said, I think he was offering to explain something, and I responded thanks but I really do just want to get home. That's definitely the weirdest review I've written in my life! No fault to the service, just a pretty strange experience. Service: Tire change
