I was on holiday in Keswick last week and unfortunately the sole came away on one of my walking boots. I went into Cotswold and was helped by a lovely lady called Charlotte. She was very helpful, patient and polite while I tried a few pairs of boots on. Helping to advise me what would be best. I went with the Lowa Renegade boots and 20+ miles on they are great. Thanks.

Gregorie is an outstanding member of staff - he seriously deserves a bonus! I went in looking for new walking boots & he could not have been more helpful. I happily walked away with a new pair of Scarpa boots. I was so impressed I took my husband in & he bought new boots from Gregorie also. Outstanding customer service from start to finish.

We went in on Monday 6th Feb around 4pm. A lady helped me immensely with fjallraven walking trousers. She was wearing them herself and gave me a very honest and personal review of the type and fit they had in stock. She explained the difference between the curved and regular fit and why they only stocked the curved now. She went through the care instructions and I think she could tell the reservations I had, because she also went through the returns policy. I genuinely felt she went above and beyond with helping me get the right trousers. I am very happy with them and definitely will be shopping here again.

Would not honour my Defence Discount Card.Veterans card. I never noticed my card had ran out a few days ago. They last for 5 years then you pay to get them renewed. My fault but there you go. So are they saying I'm not a veteran or your cards ran out you're not a veteran anymore. Was going to tell them to stick what I was buying but it was for a present. What happened to good old common sense. We're veterans for life not just because my card had ran out. We get nothing else, a bit of discount here and there. I bet you wear a poppy on armistice day and support us then or are we veterans just for a day? Very disappointed, simple mistake by me. They say its company policy,if its out of date they cannot accept it,maybe they need to have a look at themselves.

So I went to buy a Garmin Fenix 7x. £669 in Curry’s and Black’s. Cotswold were £859 (list) but I didn’t expect a problem due to Cotswolds “Price Guarantee” err no! It’s not a guarantee. In the small print they can can decline to offer if they want to?? Anyway Cotswold wanted an extra £190 over two other major UK retailers. The staff were pleasant but it was still an embarrassing experience. I can’t see me going back
