Signed up for the Puppy Training course with my miniature Schnoodle puppy Toffee. Barnaby was an amazing trainer, friendly, supportive & gave lots of useful tips on recall, loose lead walking & bonding etc. Also booked a 1-2-1 with Barnaby which I found invaluable in building confidence in becoming a good dog mum. Toffee loved it too. Highly recommend!

From dreading taking the dog out to looking forward to the next walk. All from one session with Barnaby. My 7-month whippet Anjuna struggled to focus when on walks which results in pulling and lunging at other dogs (to play, not aggressively) I knew changes had to be made as I found myself not wanting to go for walks. A quick Google for "Whippet Trainer Cheltenham" and I found Cotswold Hound in the number one spot. The process to book Barnaby was simple. When I phoned up to enquire I had a great conversation with Bryony. I then choose the time that suited me (and Anjuna) online after registering. On training day, Barnaby took the time to get to know Anjuna and us... Then the knowledge bombs started!. The way he communicates is like poetry. He uses "Human" similarities to explain what makes Anjuna tick and how to encourage new behaviour. For example: "Anjuna pulling to pick up and chew sticks is like us going out on a shopping trip. It gives her the same dopamine hit as a fresh pair of trainers" He would then show us how we could become more interesting than that stick (or pair of trainers) After a walk around the block giving lots of clear advice, practice and scenarios we now are excited about future walks. Barnaby has given us the structure and foundations to love our walks again. We are seeing improvements already after only a couple of days. Barnaby also sent over an incredibly detailed email/report of the walk so we didn't forget anything. He let us know he is always open to messages if we get stuck or need reminding of a technique. I wouldn't use or recommend any other dog trainer. Barnaby couldn't do enough for us and Anjuna absolutely loved him. I can't recommend him enough and look forward to future sessions! Barnaby and Tina's loose lead training programme was fantastic. In just four sessions they have made a huge difference to our lively Vizsla. He is so much easier to take for a walk now. The indoor venue was perfect for January evenings. Also, Barnaby emailed very helpful notes following each session. It was fun too!

Barnaby has proved invaluable with helping me train my scent hound, and over just three sessions I have learnt some incredible tips and lessons that will help not just my puppy but our older dog. I also really recommend them as not only do you get the lessons, but a very detailed email follow up which helps us remember the points raised.
