Even on an "odd day" between Xmas and New year, this place is still my favourite on the IOW! Fantastic quality of batter, no grease, not over thick and very crispy. Very fresh chips and all well portioned. Really tasty curry sauce too! Lovely friendly staff, small restaurant but nice sensibly decorated and pleasant to be in. (Toilets out of action but this was an odd day of the year as mentioned so I don't care) Can't find any disappointment at all and always a pleasure year after year. I will keep coming back for more!! Kid-friendliness: Plenty of provision for kids.

£8.40 for small fish and chips! It was vile the batter looked crispy on the outside it was undercooked on the inside the chips were hard and not many of them, even though it was a small portion I expected more than a toddler portion, never again will I go there I’d rather drive into Newport and get decent fish and chips which is cheaper!

Fast service with a smile. Very helpful in helping me to redeem my 2 for 1 offer. Fish was moist and tasty in a good batter. Even small portion had loads of chips. We would have liked the chips a bit crisper but they were tasty and not greasy.
