My sister and I did the level 1 diploma with Julia. Well, I think we tried her patience to the max! What a wonderful teacher and so generous imparting her knowledge. Very intensive and at times stressful but Julia got us both there with her kind and calm teaching style. Plus endless coffee. I can’t recommend highly enough. I have the bug now and will be returning to Julia for more instruction. Below are my pieces. Safe to say I have learnt a lot. Thank you Julia

Art Clay Diploma Intensive Private Course My feedback - don’t dither, just book it! I cannot recommend this experience highly enough - I’m so glad I did it. I was nervous coming into the classroom on my first day, but Julia has a way about her that could put anyone at ease. Looking back, I am amazed at how much I learnt over the six days, improving in both skills and confidence as the course progressed. Don’t get me wrong, I made mistakes, plenty of them, but with Julia (and her wealth of experience) sat beside me all the way, I was shown how to correct things and that was the best gift of all. Working one-on-one with Julia, getting a real feel for the art clay in all its states, was invaluable. And I mustn’t underestimate the incidental things I picked up along the way, like effective drying of the clay, clay shrinkage, clay reconstitution, good work area skills, proper kiln use, etc., all of which added such a lot to the depth of knowledge and confidence I walked away with. I left the course after the six days fizzing with ideas, faith in my skills to carry them out (+ repair my inevitable mistakes!), and having greatly enjoyed the company of an immensely talented artist. It was a privilege Julia, thank you.

One of the most enjoyable courses I have been on. I attended the level 1 silver clay diploma course with Julia. I have learnt a huge amount through both this course and the wonderful beginners session and taster I completed before with Julia and I'm really looking forward to putting it all into practise at home. I would highly recommend anyone interested in working with silver clay to go on a course here.
