I have been coming here for ten years or so. I saw the family growing, the cubs becoming lions. It was my honour and pleasure. It is difficult for a family run independent business to keep up with the supermarket chains. These businesses live off of tiny margins – not set by them but by the suppliers they buy from (and the market). To whoever says that Aldi and Tesco are 150m away then I would say that they cannot recognise the bark from the wood. These businesses are smaller but more comprehensive, maybe you cannot pay by card for everything (tobacco, lottery) or they cannot change £50 note but who can? Not even in London!! I am happy that Corners Supermarket is around my corner, I am happy that Corners Supermarket family is part of our community.
