I’ve been meaning to try this place for a while. Food was really lovely but the chefs tasting menu was light compared to others I’ve had. It’s the first time I’ve walked away from a degustation a tad hungry. Perhaps it would be nice to have some more plates individually rather than shared. Waiters were lovely but the service was too fast, clearing away plates before my mother had finished etc. Usually Michelin restaurants are a little more delicate and slower paced.

An excellent tasting menu and the food is very much worthy of a Michelin star. Relaxed and unassuming atmosphere but still very professional service. Will be coming back!

Fantastic experience, this place really deserves the Michelin star!!! Lovely venue and service, spot on wine pairing and really exciting and super tasty dishes. The only average one was the marinated mackerel, all the others were outstanding. My favourite was the gurnard with peas and asparagus, so beautiful and perfect flavours! Also the hake Kiev was a surprise. Highly recommend this place!

If you love seafood then this is the place to go! We visit every few months and have always had an amazing meal. The service brilliant and the atmosphere is warm and relaxed. I have celiac disease and they are careful about letting me know which dishes are safe for me to eat. They even made me my own separate portions of gluten free bread to eat with certain courses. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. GO!! Dietary restrictions: Recommend for those with gluten sensitivity.

I’ll start with the most important thing. Some food was not fresh, probably oysters, I got the food poisoning and suffered from its consequences for four days. Around half of the sample menu was just not tasty. A so-called ‘crab bun’ from the sample menu was first served without crab. After we said that we struggled our best but couldn’t find crab in the bun, it was re-cooked and served again. Sea bream tar-tar and desserts were undoubtedly top-notch. Overall, the mixed feelings, but the sample menu is certainly not worth £150 for two. Price-to-quality is pretty mediocre, in my view.
