Attended first introduction to man trailing session with our lurcher (saluki/whippet) today and fully intend to book progress sessions. Victoria has many paper qualifications as well as practical experience, the breadth and depth of which shines through. The online booking is straightforward and communication with regard queries excellent. Victoria prepared me for the session eg what to expect, kit required etc via a comprehensive email and a link to a short presentation where the photos assisted clarification. Classes are small and participants at mixed level of abilities/stage of training. I found this mix particularly beneficial, as being the “newbie” I was not only then able to start my journey in man trailing but observe and see in action what I could potentially progress to. There is the opportunity, with further progression training for my team ( my dog and me) to take formalised testing, for qualifications. Taking these tests isn’t obligatory and Victoria recognises a job well done by the team of owner and their dog too. The other course/session members and their dogs were also great to “work” with, so I felt, although it was the first time I had met them all, we worked as a group team. For me there was a warm feeling of positivity, from everyone, for all our dogs to succeed. All training is kind and reward based, at the heart of it all is the well-being of the dogs, which has the added benefit of encouraging the dogs to engage. Victoria is very clear in her explanations as to why and how the training and scent trail is performed as well as cues from your dog and when observing others in the groups dogs turns, to watch out for. All in all I felt I had received high calibre training for myself and my dog, with at the end of the session straightforward feedback, of both positives and areas for improvement/further work, which for me adds value, in that it gives me something to strive for and work on. Lastly, I am registered sight impaired and I felt Victoria really cared about my and my dogs safety, because the groups are small, I do feel myself and my fellow man trailers, thought there was the right amount of individual attention. I have no hesitation in recommending sniff and trail U.K to any dog owner of any breed….go on give your dog a job!

10/10. Easy smooth booking process, good communications before the event. On the day the event was easy to find. The event was well organised with a small friendly group, a good mix of people & dogs from all walks of life, and all levels of experience. My dog had an amazing experience and we will be returning soon! Thank you so much 😊

We started mantrailing with Victoria after hearing about it at our hydrotherapy sessions at House of Hound Hydrotherapy. We’ve been attending sessions with our Border Terrier Archie for about 8 months now and we love it. Victoria is great at understanding the individual needs of each dog (and owner!) and puts everyone at ease. She is welcoming, encouraging and a brilliant facilitator, explaining everything clearly. We’ve also met lots of lovely owners and it’s been great to be able to get to know them and see them working with their own dogs. If you are thinking of giving mantrailing a go, I would say definitely book on an introductory session with Victoria!

Victoria is very knowledgeable and professional in a outgoing and friendly way. I take my 2 dogs mantrailing regularly now and they love it, it's worked wonders with my Romanian rescue's confidence around strangers and has given my pup lots of positive social interactions in controlled situations. One of the best low impact dog sports for all ages and fitness levels ( humans too )

We have recently got our first ever puppy a little working Cocker Spaniel. I have worked with Victoria with our old dog, however he was a rescue and a totally different personality to our new boy. As a working breed we wanted to get the right start with him and focus on sold training built on a positive relationship. I had done lots of research on training and wanted to work with someone who would explain everything fully. I wanted training that would not start and end at puppy, but continue through into his adulthood. I have now completed several 1-1 sessions covering puppy basics, things at home, lead walking, equipment and we are now doing puppy gun dog sessions. We work on focus, connection, loose lead walking, recall, hunting games and hand delivery. I am booked in again soon. We get tasks to work on between sessions. We are also starting mantrailing in a few weeks and more formal scent work. My Cocker loves it. He is now 8 months old. I feel it gives our time training a real purpose. I feel we have benefited so much from having a trainer who understands the working breeds and can tailor our sessions to not only his breed, but also us as a pair. I would highly recommend Sniff and Trail UK.

Rosie and I completed our Introductory course to Mantrailing yesterday, an excellent experience for us both. Victoria explained clearly the process and was very encouraging and supportive leaving you with a sense of achievement. Watching the more experienced people working their dogs gives a very good insight on how Rosie and I can progress in future sessions. I can definitely recommend Mantrailing if you are wanting a new activity for you and your dog.

I’ve worked with Victoria for a number of years now; firstly with my Springer Spaniel who did scent work training, and currently with my reactive Miniature Schnauzer who does Mantrailing. There’s a sport out there for every dog wether they’re older, reactive or recovering from injuries!

Really great experience for me and Koby. I have a big dog that can be nervous but Victoria put us (well mostly me!!) at our ease Koby just got on with it and really enjoyed the sniff training. I was so impressed with the set up and how it was run. I felt very supported and secure and feel it will really help me expand Koby’s experiences whilst he just has fun! Highly recommend.
