FAQ

What is your process for acquiring and selling vehicles and parts?

At Copart Bristol, we acquire vehicles and parts through auctions, direct purchases from individuals or businesses, and through our relationships with insurance companies. Once we have acquired the vehicles and parts, we inspect them to determine their condition and value. We then sell them through online auctions to buyers around the world.

What is the condition of the vehicles you sell?

The condition of the vehicles we sell varies, as we offer salvage and used vehicles. Some of the vehicles have been involved in accidents or have other types of damage, while others are in good condition. We provide detailed information about the condition of each vehicle through our online auction listings, including photos and descriptions of any damage or issues.

Do you offer any warranties or guarantees on the vehicles?

We do not offer warranties or guarantees on the vehicles we sell, as they are sold in as-is condition. However, we do provide detailed information about the condition of each vehicle through our online auction listings, so buyers can make informed decisions when bidding. We also allow buyers to inspect the vehicles in person before purchasing, either at our facility or through a third-party inspection service.

What is the bidding process like, and how can I participate?

Our bidding process is entirely online, and we use a live online auction format. Buyers can participate in the auction by registering on our website, browsing our inventory, and placing bids on the vehicles they are interested in. We provide detailed information about each vehicle through our online auction listings, including photos and descriptions of any damage or issues. Buyers can place bids up to the time the auction ends, and the highest bidder at the end of the auction is the winner.

Can you provide me with a list of your current inventory?

Yes, we can provide you with a list of our current inventory. You can browse our inventory on our website, where we list all of the vehicles and parts we currently have available for auction. Our inventory is updated regularly, so be sure to check back often for new listings. If you have specific questions or need further assistance, our customer service team is available to help.

I've been to a lot of copart companies, but this shipping company is the worst of all the loadings in the UK. When you arrive in the morning, the first thing nobody says is that the booking is at 2 o'clock, so you wait for 8 hours and the booking comes again, waiting for 2 or 3 hours. Very bad company, I'm not the only one who thinks like this, 90% of people have the same opinion as me. If there was a zero it would give you a zero. Totally not organized, so many people employed, but no one does anything. In 80 percent of coparts in the UK, wherever you go, you are immediately loaded because these are broken cars in the dust.

Sold my trusty old car to Copart. Excellent service, excellent communication, from customer service to take details, get a price, flexible pick up date, confirmation email, prior text message from Gavin picking up the car, who was very polite and considerate when completing paperwork and pick up, to prompt payment and email explaining tax/dvla actions needed.

Copart took our car away after a minor accident. It was arranged through the insurance so we had no choice about who it went to. The paperwork that came back when the car was returned stated that it had been cleaned - the outside is filthy and I’ve attached a photo of the inside. They also drained about £80 worth of diesel out of the car and refused to reimburse us for it. Absolute cowboys - avoid.
