We used Eve and Lake for our remortgage more than 18 months ago after recommendation from our FA. There was a lack of communication from them and unnecessary delays in moving our mortgage across for which I provided them with feedback. Now 18months on they have contacted me out of the blue to say they did not complete one of their tasks re the land registry and are demanding payment. They have said that the issues stem from the land registry and they have increased their prices. The registration of the land registry was billed for 18months ago, I was not made aware of anything outstanding. I contacted the land registry who have cited incorrect completion of their online form and evidence of them trying to contact Eve and Lake repeatedly to resolve this. Moreover they have only increased their prices by £5 in this time. Not the amount I am being asked for. I would not recommend using Eve and Lake.
