It depends on individual carers. Some go out of their way, above and beyond their duties. However, lately, we had two VERY unprofessional carers. One dared ask housemates all kinds of personal questions, such aa jobs, family, and salary! Hugely inappropriate and not her place. The second one complained that she had to do household chores and her room didn't come with a TV(!). So she is supposed to be paid 1.8k per week to watch telly?

I feel i need to speak out about the awful experience i had working with Consultus a few years ago. Initially i was not paired well with my consultant - she didn't get me at all, and i found her rather condescending and not at all supportive. I had a nasty situation with a client i went to, where i sustained a bad burn injury, and did not receive any support or assistance with Consultus. They let me go, because i was too opinionated, because i stood up for myself. It is very clear to me that they put the client first and do not really offer genuine support, despite what they may say. They also tend to sugar coat the jobs they put you into, and their rates are ridiculous... Even in a time where there is a major shortage of carers and the cost of living is getting higher, their rates do not change and i am constantly hearing of fellow carers complaining about them - it's time to speak out and share my experience.

I am self employed carer with consultuscare. I have been with them since July 2020. What I like about being registered with consultants they are very professional and sort things. I sent CV, I had a phone call from the lovely stephanie with in 24 hours, face time in the next 24 hours. I sent certificates ID, they organized training online. I did the online training and offered work within 2 weeks. The clients book you and pay the daily rate and any problems, I phoned the office, I mentioned time I need off and they have work my booking round this. I have met several carers and some have been consultuscare for over 7 years. The only reason I havent given a 5 stars as it's only been 6 months

Professional agency with high standards. I am an experienced Live-in Carer and moved to this agency 6 months ago. The interview process was thorough and informative and I really felt like they were listening to my needs. Training was excellent and started work almost straight after. My Care Consultant always keeps in touch with me and I like the fact they can book me well in advance around my schedule. Pay rates are good and I have some really lovely regular clients.
