Had to wait 2 months and a half for the passport to arrive, only because after a while I decided to contact the police station in my home town to ask them to send the consulate the authorization they were looking for. Police station did not receive any email from the consulate according to them. Absurdly, the consulate did not follow up with the police station at any stage. If I had not done the work they were supposed to do I would have waited 4-5 months? Who knows. People at the consulate are polite.

I am trying to get citizenship via their web app prenotami. It is a terrible service. I have to try every Monday and Wednesday at 5pm but by the time I get through their 3 appointments are always booked. There are third parties that offer ÂŁ300 for appointments this is not fair. Sort it out!

Excellent service today at the citizenship office at Consolato Generale d”Italia Londra. It was our second appointment but prior to that we had excellent support and guidance with the required paperwork which made todays process much easier. We did have some challenges making an appointment via the portal but this office helped us despite the issue. Although the whole process of citizenship is complex I can’t praise this office enough and compliment them on their professionalism and advice. If you follow their instructions on the website to the letter your application will be successful. Thank you very much for all your assistance.

After completing the forms and send all the docs required we didn't have any way to check the progress of the application for a passport. We suddenly receive an email to make contact to the passport office via a link. We followed instructions on the website to fill a form to contact passport office. Nothing happening. 2 weeks later we received the passport. So basically the office where the email came from said: "we done our job speak with the passport office". The process was ok but been such an important document, the passport, I think a clearer way of communicating will be beneficial for both sides and maybe you'll get less email and phone calls.
