Like Dharmesh, I had my conservatory completed in February, by a reputable company. The design had to be changed as David Wright's plan was wrong. I am not alone in watching the movements of this company and anyone thinking of using this organisation, or any other that David James Wright is involved in, should think carefully about these reviews. Doing my daily check of Companies House and his wife has been sacked as a director (a cynic may think this is a ploy to transfer assets to her and try to avoid the debtors claims), however I'm sure this is purely coincidental. As is changing his registered address from his home address to a registered address in Guildford, the fourth change since May. Action in progress but, I won't go into detail on this forum. I agree with the distinction between a cowboy and a conman and little doubt as to what we've dealt with. Paid David Wright £4650 deposit in May, when the brickwork was finished, he asked for a further £9300 in July to purchase the roof and other parts. So far all I have is the brickwork no sign of roof or other parts. Not even talking anymore excuse list must be exhausted. Another four weeks have passed and still no progression on the conservatory.

ITS NOT EVEN WORTH THE 1 STAR. MR CONMAN MR EXCUSES THIS COMPANY IS SHODDY!! Mr DAVID JAMES WRIGHT IS SHODDY!!! DAYLIGHT ROBBER AND SWEET TALKER. MAN OF MANY EXCUSES!!! HE IS NOW THREATENING ME. HE WANTS ME TO REMOVE MY REVEIW, ONLY AFTER THEN WILL HE COMPLETE THE WORK. He says he has folded his company, not sure whether I believe this. WHY WOULD HE WANT ME TO TAKE THIS REVIEW DOWN? Hi David - you're a conman, you know you're a conman and I'm glad to see the net is finally closing in around you. All the excuses you are peddling out to other customers ring true, and I'm glad that you've made an appearance on a conman exposure website, alongside poor reviews on Bark, Google and other review sites and, not to mention, the calls I and others have made to Action Fraud and Trading Standards. Happily , vile, sub standard workmen and liars like yourself always get exposed. Oh, meant to ask, how's the van that broke down? How's your knee? Are you still in hospital regularly? Have you had any more family bereavements? Are you still being let down by ALL your other tradesmen? I could go on but I'm in no doubt you get my sarcasm. Rest assured David, this won't be the last time you hear from me.

Beware of Mayfair Project and David Wright! As with many others posting reviews, I have found him to be extremely unreliable, failing to show up when promised with not so much as the courtesy of a phone call. I have been given a myriad of excuses which defy credibility and are blatant lies. I paid him to upgrade my conservatory which was supposed to start in March 2016. After constant failures to turn up and excuse after excuse work started May. Progress was a painfully slow. When the glass came, it was damaged or the wrong size, roof panels were cut to the wrong size then sprayed the wrong colour etc. each time it was blamed on his suppliers, never his fault. I am still waiting for him to finish the job after he failed to keep an appointment in July. He did not return my calls, texts and emails for 3 months. There is now an issue with conservatory roof leaking. I have also now found out after getting a competent contractor involved that he has fitted inferior glass to that which I paid for - not A rated as the contract requires. Looks like he replaced the broken panels with cheap alternatives without telling me. I am now forced to take legal action although so far he has chosen to ignore my solicitors letter. Next step will be to issue proceedings and report him to both Trading Standards and Certass his trade association. My advice is do not use him. He may be cheap but it would be worth paying more to keep your sanity and not have to live with a sub-standard job!
