Orchards End
Compton Abbas has been our must fly to place but no longer. The air side staff were as friendly and helpful as always however the changes in the restaurant means visiting pilots can only have a small choice of baguettes to eat outside if you can find a seat. No plate, no napkin and a hefty price tag. The airfield attracts customers because of the visiting aircraft so why make them feel so unwelcome like second class citizens. Very disappointed. Won't be returning any time soon despite being a regular customer for the last 25 years.

Guy Ritchie's new version of the Compton Abbas Airfield cafe is a more polished affair than we have been used to here. High ceilings and a bare concrete floor gives it an industrial feel which amplifies noise from chairs scrapping across the floor or noisy children. We visited at 2.30pm on Saturday to find the food had run out and only cake was available. Wheelchair access is not ideal with a longish gravel path to the cafe entrance. Wheelchair accessibility: The loose gravel path leading to the cafe entrance is difficult to negotiate for wheelchair users.

Lovely time book my husband a flight which was brilliant he also took our son and granddaughter up with him .We had a coffee before then went up and also a very large piece of cake to .After there flight we went back for more coffee and had a baguette to . Staff very friendly and great .Thank you all for a lovely day . Parking: Very easy to park

Newly refurbished. Lovely new decor, friendly staff, good food and drink. (Apparently I was first to order a beer since opening to the public today - Gritchie and 👍) Superb views of beautiful Shaftesbury. It was popular before when the weather was good - likely to get very busy now.

Great place for a ride out, would've been nice to have had some charge points for EV's but there's a few in nearby Shaftesbury if needed. Great place for a bacon butty and coffee with very friendly staff
