I took my VW Passat into their workshop yesterday morning (09/05/23) as it was making some alarming metallic noises, sounding more like a bag of spanners being dragged down a cobblestone street than anything with German engineering has a right to. Despite the fact that I dropped in late in the morning and without an appointment, they immediately put the car up on the lift and thoroughly inspected it for anything suspicious. One of their technicians then took it for a test drive. On return, he reported that they hadn’t found anything wrong and that the car was making no unusual noises on the test drive. This was hugely reassuring as I was facing a long drive home to Cambridgeshire. This was service beyond anything I expected, and top it all they refused to take any payment, even though they had spent nearly a half hour with the car. Thank you to all concerned. If you live in or nearby to Kelso, I wholeheartedly recommend this garage. And the Passat? Behaving itself. 🤞 Services: Carburetor cleaning, Vehicle Inspection
