I have worked for Community Care for sometime and recently had to give my position up. Having to apply for a position that will support my career goal alongside my study. However, my work with Community Care has involved visiting and caring for clients; being a clients companion while the clients partner or family member is able to have their own form of respite. It’s been such a rewarding job!!! as you begin to know the client and build trust and communication with them. I have often walked away thinking of the difference I have made to that person or families life. Never forgetting that client could be a member of my own family. I have always enjoyed learning about their own profession or career they once had in their life. It makes you never forget about the person they had once been. Especially when you are working with a client who may now have Alkzeimers. I can not promote this work enough and the Community Care organisation. They are a family run organisation and working for them I wanted to work for an organisation that promotes the same values of my own. I have worked for CCS for nearly 7 years and I can honestly say this small family run business cares about its staff and clients. I previously worked for a larger agency and am able to see the difference. From the day I started I was made to feel welcome by Christina, Gareth and Maria and was fully supported. Not only do they look after their office staff but also care about the the staff and clients in the community. I always recommend people to join the company as I know they will enjoy working for this family. Both Gareth and Maria are approachable and will support you where they can.
