Martha gave us our dream birth experience. My wife had a few complications and we wanted a home birth. Martha helped us navigate the NHS to get exactly what we wanted. We had a very short natural labour with relatively little pain thanks to all the prep Martha taught us to do. The NHS can be quite aggressive with mothers and with the birth process, it's very confusing to deal with that AND the birth itself. It's so important to have an advocate that knows exactly how to handle them. We can't recommend Martha enough.

We were really lucky to have Martha supporting us prenatally, throughout the birth and postnatally. We decided to get doula services quite late in the pregnancy and I can honestly say it was the best decision we made! Martha is extremely thorough and was always able to assist us with any queries related to the pregnancy and birth (including GBS, induction) backing it up by evidence. I didn’t have a straightforward birth but Martha was with us for every stage and always able to reassure me. Postnatally Martha has visited us and this support has been invaluable. I would recommend Martha to anyone who is currently pregnant or looking for postnatal support. I feel very fortunate to have met Martha and she is AMAZING at her job. She is very empowering and a fantastic communicator.

I don’t know where to begin. I wish I could give Martha six stars! Martha worked with friend and fellow doula, Tamar, to provide joint care for my husband and me. Pregnancy, birth and life with a newborn would have been a completely different experience without their support - having been deeply fearful I felt confident about going into birth (whatever that entailed) trusting myself to them completely. They helped me plan for my birth, whatever that might look like, spent time listening and guiding me through my particular health concerns and fears. Like many mothers I came up against quite a few challenges in the weeks leading up to birth and in the aftermath, Martha and Tamar supported me and my husband every step of the way. I can safely say we would have been lost without them trying to navigate a complicated health system. Despite my birth not going to plan (it so rarely does) I felt totally safe and held by these amazing women. My first experiences of motherhood were positive (largely down to their support) and really you can’t ask for more than that! Martha went above and beyond in every sense, she was a guide, a mother, a sister and a friend depending on what the moment called for especially in the first weeks with our little girl. People underestimate just how important support is during this time. I couldn’t recommend this special soul more, every mother needs a Martha!

Martha supported us before, during and after the birth of our second child. She is a warm, thoughtful and intelligent person and very quickly understood me and my partner and what we wanted for the safe home birth for our child when I was classified as "high risk". She helped build my confidence and advocated for us with the health service to ensure we got the support we needed. She is also very knowledgeable and shared many resources which were extremely helpful in supporting our decision making. I can't recommend Martha enough and know she was key in making the birth a smooth and positive experience.

Martha has been the best decision I have taken for my post partum journey. She supported us and took care of us. She cooked, she helped with the little one and helped with house chores. There was no judgement which built my confidence. Cannot recommend her enough! I feel really grateful for having her.

I can thoroughly recommend the Community Birth Club. Martha provided invaluable support in the lead up to my child’s birth and in the postnatal period when I was trying to resolve a tongue tie issue. Martha is personable, knowledgeable and responsive. Martha has a calm and gentle style which is reassuring and is able to provide lots of tips in terms of the baby and navigating the health care system. I’m very glad I was able to access Martha’s services.
