I have only been participating for about a year now but I was welcomed into the club and am thoroughly enjoying it. The lessons are good and you can learn at your own pace with no pressure. The exercises help to maintain an overall healthy lifestyle and the combat helps hone your skills and techniques. Dan is a great instructor and takes the time to show you where you are going wrong and provides endless support throughout. Cannot recommend highly enough. Come along and have a go!

I did Wing Chun many years ago for a short time but sadly the class folded and I regrettably gave up. About 2 years ago I went along to a free taster session with a small group that eventually joined the Wing Chun Association. Since the start I relish the thought of going twice a week. The cost is minimal (especially when compared to other martial arts groups) The group I am in is very friendly and very helpful. Dan, the instructor is extremely patient, good humoured and knowledgeable. He explains things in simple terms and makes learning fun (even during lockdown via Zoom). The physical element of the training is sometimes demanding for an old boy like me, but always done in a lighthearted way. We have participants of all ages and abilities, and even whole families, but everyone helps each other out with no egos dominating. Since I started I have gained self confidence, self worth, usable skills and even an increased level of fitness! I can thoroughly and wholeheartedly recommend Combat Wing Chun as the perfect vehicle for increasing confidence and ability

I'm Steve and about 6 years ago I wanted to try martial arts and as luck had it I found wingchun which was good for me because it was one I wanted to do and when I first started I felt anxious and of course nieve as I went to more and more classes I started to feel my confidence grow but it's not only about learning to protect your self it's also the people you train with and there has been a lot of people who started wingchun but they couldn't persevere with the training it takes time and patience to learn the how to defend and attack at the same time but if you stick with it your time effort and patience will pay off and if you come to combat wingchun and train with us you will be looked after and our sifu Dan is a brilliant teacher so if you want to learn something different then why not give us a try all the best Steve*
