Really wished I had read some of the reviews on here first. I have had a similar experience. Was months overdue (from it will be done in April to actually picking it up at the end of July) Bits of paint in bits that shouldn't have paint in. I can't fit a deraliur hanger properly anymore. The crank arm wasy put back on properly and promptly fell off 10 miles into my first ride smashing in the road and costing a hundred quid to replace. The seat bolts don't move now so I can't adjust it, I assume they have been lackered on. The brakes didn't work (apparently had had a spring forced in them). Paint seems fragile and is cracking off 2 months in. Rung him up, gave him the chance to apologise was met with silence. I really really regret going to see him and spending all of that money. The paint job did look good and It seems some people on here have had a good outcome but there are a decent number of reviews that are similar to my experience. I would suggest not taking the risk

Poor communication. Did not complete job as agreed. No receipt for job. Price gone up after quote and no reason provided. Also took 8 weeks to complete job when initially said 4 weeks to complete

Fantastic job. Took my Roberts frame for respray. Looks as good as it did when new, probably better.Was blown away with the standard of finish. Will definitely take my other frames to Colourtech. My friend took his frame in too and was similarly super impressed. Highly Recommended.

In my experience David has a problem with communicating. Despite asking for a copy of my job description sheet (via several channels email phone messaging etc) he never provided one. This caused further delays on my respray job. I eventually retrieved my frame but 7 weeks over due. No paperwork provided at all, no receipt either. He held out for cash only. Dodgy service horrible - never going back.

Sent a frame for respray in August 2020. Got bored with repeatedly calling and being told it would be returned "this week" by December. I'm still waiting for the frame or any communication of any sort in May 2021. Literally worse than useless. Next step small claims court, since there is no response to my suggestions of arbitration. Not that there's much to arbitrate - he has my frame, I want it back. Final update. I have my frame back at the end of June 2021. Good paint job. Some of the decals are correct, half are missing. I highly recommend this place if you want to wait 10 months for a result that's approximately what you asked for and enjoy being misled or ignored with every contact you make with them.

took a £6000 bike frame in for a few little scuffs/scratches to be painted after a minor fall and the deadline was moved 4 times with lots of promises of it being ready each time. Last time when i called them he told me he was only in the shop to pick up some kit. I didn't believe him so drove there to find my frame sitting on a concrete floor covered in paint dust. Not impressed. Took bike home, as if he cant look after my frame properly then i worry what sort of job he would do. I cleaned all the paint dust off and found scratches on the fork ends and the crank case where it had been sitting on the concrete floor, again really not impressed. Two more emails not replied to. Don't use them.
