I bought a Collingwood Hoxton boat in 2021 and I have to say the boat is great and I realised quickly, it’s not like living at home! Last month I had an issue with my Bow Thruster only to be told that my boat was out of warranty! When I explained the fault with Collingwood, they were very empathetic and really helped me resolve the issue and couldn’t have been more helpful! My contact was with Phil who’s knowledge and calm character was second to none. My review is to say thank you to Phil and Collingwood for their excellent customer service to me and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them based on my experience. Thank you! Steve&Tracey Aldoshern

Kenny who works for collingwood, deserves a medal. He is a great member of the team, and really wants to help. He saved me from a leak in my engine bay, and was in contact with me the whole journey from when I expressed the problem until it was fixed. Every question I asked him, he told me that he was going to fix it. The transformation was brilliant. Thanks very much Kenny. Your a LEGEND.

So I’m so annoyed with the customer care from both Collingwood and New & Used Boats that sold me the boat, that I am spending today finding as many forums that I can to post my concerns about Collingwood and New & Used. Firstly I will list the issues, and yes they are actually real. 1. PIPEWORK & PUMP: Most of the pipe work in the boat was not clipped/secured during construction so when we use the water we get a vibrating noise I’m radon places all over the boat...... Nice !!!!!! In the main bedroom its so loud that I measured the decibels with a calibrated sound level device and the reading was 79. And yes to all that know, the HSE state that if a human is exposed to above 80 ear protection MUST be worn. This is a culmination of both the very noisy water pump and vibrating pipes. QUESTION.....Why not put the water pump in the engine hold in a simple sound proof box..... 2. REAR FENDER: Why would you put a fender on the back of the boat.....Oh yes, to stop anything hitting the rudder. No No No No No.......Collingwood provide a rear fender that protrudes from the rear of the boat LESS, yes LESS that the rudder. Just like a fencer holding the protective mask behind his head... POINTLESS 3. HEATING SYSTEM: So when we looked at the heating system on purchase of the boat in July 2020, we were really impressed with the rads and the fact that a 90 KW Webasto had been fitted. That was the end of the robustness of the heating system. Sitting the boat today with the outside temp at +2 and the heating system is on full (although there is no way of regulating this as only a simple on or off option) and the 4 small rads do hot heat the boat. I have done a simple online calculation of how many output heat Watts is required to heat this boat and this is 7.5 Kw. The rads provided with the £140,000 boat is 2.8 Kw. QUESTION.....Do Collingwood have a design team and so they understand design. 4. APPLIANCES: So when we viewed the boat at New & Used Boats, we were blown away by the great facilities that were fitted in the kitchen. * Dishwasher * Wine cooler * Freezer * Fridge * Washer dryer * Coffee machine * Multi oven/microwave Yes we thought, fantastic.......UNTIL.... we went out on the canal from our marina mooring to find that the washing machine, the microwave and the dishwasher to not work on even with the engine running. Also the extractor fan over the gas hob stopped working in October and despite chasing this, has not been either replaced or repaired. 5. TOILET WASTE TANK: So I previously had a two berth 60ft x 12ft boat from Collingwood and the waste tank provided was only 245 litres. Not very big but as it was me on my own it was ok. Purchased this boat, 4 berth 70ft x 12.5ft and yes you are right, its the same size tank ?????????????? Again just a quick message to the design team at Collingwood, THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU ARE DESIGNING FOR..... All in all the boat finish is fantastic. The carpentry work is great and the space design is great but, and this is what is so important to all prospective boat buyers, the boat is not fit for purpose. I am now at the point of going over and putting together a case with my legal team of how these issues are going to be resolved. The customer service from both Collingwood and New & Used Boats is very very poor. I have given up contacting either of them so please please if you are looking at purchasing a Collingwood boat contract me and I will help you with what needs considering.

Took delivery of our 65' widebeam this morning - could not be more happy with it and the entire experience with Collingwood. The team have been super responsive and helpful throughout the entire process. We built a boat completely bespoke to our needs and wants - and the final result is incredible. Thanks, Collingwood!

I recently contacted Collingwood boats to ask one simple question. I wanted to know the blue colour on the pioneer narrowboat. The reply came back very abrupt saying “ WE USE SYMPHONY PAINTS WE SUGGEST YOU CONTACT THEM”. This was not what I expected from an enquiry. I then read other reviews which only compounds my dealings with this company. The CEO should sort this out as they are going to get a really bad reputation! Stay clear.

Had a delay of over 6 months with no communication from them during that time, certainly not in regards to why it was delayed. Honestly the worst customer service I've ever received. Had some issues with the boat on delivery which took another 6 months to iron out and only because I was on them all of the time. I've had my boat a while since then and fairly happy now that almost everything has been ironed out but that's all the two stars are for!
