At College Town Montessori Nursery, we maintain a low teacher-to-student ratio to ensure that each child receives individual attention and guidance. Our ratio is typically one teacher for every ten students. How do you incorporate technology into your Montessori curriculum?
We believe in a hands-on, experiential approach to learning, and as such, technology is not a primary focus in our Montessori curriculum. However, we do incorporate age-appropriate technology, such as tablets and interactive whiteboards, into certain lessons to enhance the learning experience.Do you offer any after-school programs or extracurricular activities for students?
We offer a range of after-school programs and extracurricular activities for our students, including music lessons, art classes, and sports teams. These programs are designed to provide students with opportunities to explore their interests and develop new skills outside of the classroom. How do you assess student progress and provide feedback to parents?
We use a variety of assessment methods to monitor student progress, including observation, documentation, and regular check-ins with students. We also provide parents with regular progress reports and hold parent-teacher conferences to discuss each child's individual progress and areas for improvement. What is your approach to discipline and classroom management in the Montessori environment?
In the Montessori environment, we believe in fostering self-discipline and self-motivation in our students. We encourage independence and responsibility, and our teachers work closely with each child to help them develop these skills. My son has attended the nursery since 4 months old (now 3 yrs1/2) and I cannot speak highly enough of the family team who have looked after him. The proof of just how much he likes it is was during our summer holiday he said 'he liked our holiday but was missing the nursery and his buddies'! As parents we feel guilty for sending them to any nursery but you definitely will be amazed at the French, yoga, swimming, dancing, cooking, out door play etc. It truly is a home from home!
